Comedian Tim Cavanagh

Tim Cavanagh

May 11

Tim Cavanagh is a survivor of Pancreatic Cancer. We're happy to announce he is now cancer free and will retruns to headline one show only, 7pm Saturday, Feb. 11th! So, did you hear the one about the high school teacher who walked into a comedy club--and they hired him? That's where the Tim Cavanagh comedy story begins. For a full year, Tim taught teenagers by day. By night, he sang his funny songs in Chicago comedy clubs. "Not surprisingly, I found the biggest difference between the classroom and the nightclub was the drunks--which I generally let the principal handle," Tim says. Since leaving the classroom, Tim Cavanagh has brought his comedic songs and inventive stand-up to concert halls, corporations, college campuses and nightclubs across America. In 1997, Tim released his first CD, Sounds Like Fun! By then he had become a regular guest on The Bob & Tom Show, a nationally syndicated radio show now heard in 150 markets. For two years, Tim did a weekly segment on the show called "The One Minute Song," which spawned two more CDs released on Tim's own label, Hits & Giggles Records. As for television, Tim has not only appeared on Comedy Central, he was chosen by the network to do several live performances for their clients and customers. His national appearances on ABC-TV, Showtime, WGN, and Comcast have helped Tim deal with his biggest TV disappointment--calling QVC seconds too late to get a great deal on a colander set.

Comedian John McClellan

John McClellan

May 17 - 18

John McClellan McClellan is a unique and brutally funny voice in the world, carving out his turf as he headlines comedy clubs and rock music venues across America. He possesses a rare ability to bring laughs to situations with insight and energy using what the Long Island Entertainment News calls "A razor sharp sense of sarcasm coupled with a working stiff sensibility; John McClellan is what real stand up is all about." A fearless yet engaging performer, he reminds you within minutes of taking the stage why Cincinnati CityBeat called him the "Super Villain Of Comedy." Delivering an original stable of material born from logic and ego fighting side by side, John's live show offers the stream-of-consciousness of a child on Santa Claus' lap, the confidence of a prizefighter and the power of a punk band without ever leaving your seat. McClellan's act is about contemporary observation but not necessarily the headlines of the day unless, as he notes, it's something cool. "I don't want to bring the pressures of the world down on people," he says. "a€˜Hey, let's go to the comedy show and hear about how horrible things are.' No thank you. I can open a window and get a whiff of that," says McClellan. McClellan began his stand-up career in Dayton, Ohio at the same time that Mason City Limits owner Chris Speyrer started comedy. He subsequently moved to Chicago and then to New York, his current home. A grand prizewinner of The Seattle International Comedy Competition, as well as a finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition, McClellan has opened in concert for acts such as David Lee Roth and Collective Soul as well as being a featured performer in some of the nation's top comedy festivals. John's most recent endeavor can be found on his YouTube Channel where he hosts, "Pour Choice," which features hilarious reviews on the worst liquors in the world. A regular guest on Sirius Satellite Radio, local morning radio and television shows across the nation, John may be most recognizable from his appearance in season 4 of Bravo TV's, Millionaire Matchmaker and his show stopping date to NYC's Museum of Sex, that made that episode one of the most highly rated in the history of the program.
